a little delusional

In the movie The Clown, the protagonist, Arthur Frank, was shown to be delusional. There were many scenes in the movie that suggested that Arthur was delusional. For example, his first conversation with the psychiatrist might be fictional. At the beginning of the movie, after Arthur laughed hysterically, the psychiatrist seemed to understand his illness very well. At the end of the movie, when Arthur laughed hysterically in the hospital again, the doctor seemed to not understand his illness. The clock in both scenes showed 11:10, suggesting that Arthur might be in the hospital and that seeing a doctor was just his imagination. Arthur had never been on the show, and the plot was his imagination. Arthur and Sophie were strangers, and their love was Arthur's imagination. At the same time, his mother, who was dependent on him, also suffered from mental illness. Under the influence of such a family environment, it was reasonable to speculate that he had paranoia. However, there was another interpretation of the film. If all the plots were regarded as Arthur's fiction, and he was actually locked up in the hospital, then it would be meaningless to discuss his paranoia in the life scenes presented in the movie. However, from the main story presented in the movie, the clown had many plots that showed similar characteristics of paranoia. Watching " The Clown 2: Double Fantasy " wasn't enough. 'Dream Girl' was not necessarily delusional. "Dream girl" originally referred to the concept in the Otome game (a game to develop love), and its original meaning was not a derogatory one. However, in the three-dimensional world, the "dream girl" that some people understood was considered to be "delusional." However, this was only a partial view. Although paranoia was a psychiatric diagnosis, it had specific criteria for diagnosis, such as reasoning based on groundless assumptions, violating the logic of thinking and reaching unrealistic conclusions, and firmly believing in absurd conclusions. In the usual context, the "dream girl" was more of an identity description under the phenomenon of network culture. The two could not be simply equated. The Clown 2: Double Fantasy was an American movie set in 2024. The genre was action, crime, and horror. It was directed by Todd Phillips and starred Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga. The story of the movie continued from the previous film. The clown (Arthur) was arrested and imprisoned to await trial. In prison, he fought with his dual personality. He also met his "patient" Haley Quinn (Lady Gaga) in the mental hospital. The two developed an extremely dangerous and distorted romantic relationship. During this process, Arthur also released the melody that had been hidden in his heart. The movie suffered a double collapse in both box office and reputation. Douban's rating was only 5.9 points, while the first movie's rating was as high as 8.7 points. Rotten Tomatoes 'freshness was only 33%. The main reasons for the failure were: first, it did not conform to the audience's understanding of the clown and the manga setting, such as the clown's behavior logic in the sequel was not coherent enough compared to the first film; second, the song and dance of unknown meaning were inserted, which was not as good as Bollywood, and these songs and dances took up a lot of time in the film. However, there were also some interesting things to watch in the movie, such as the acting skills of the main actors, various artistic scenes, and the plot with love as a clue. Judging from Yang Lijuan's behavior, she was seriously fantasizing. After she had a dream about Andy Liu, she was deeply immersed in it. She firmly believed that she had a special relationship with Andy Liu. She dropped out of school to chase after stars, fantasizing about meeting, holding hands, hugging, and even spending the rest of her life with Andy Liu. This excessive and unrealistic fantasy behavior had a tendency to be delusional. However, there was no conclusive medical diagnosis that indicated that she had delusions. Her behavior could also be the result of a combination of factors such as extreme star-chasing psychology and excessive pampering from her family.
