⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Brutal, Gripping Opening I expected a standard revenge setup. I got a first chapter that hooked me in the first few lines and never let go. The funeral scene is the highlight. Watching the world's greatest sword master "attend" his own funeral, and seeing the gods, sects and even his own disciples fight over his treasures, hits hard. The betrayals come fast, and each one stings more than the last. The best part is the twist. The cold, calm disciple turns out to be hiding the deepest ambition of all, and then the coffin opens. Empty. That final reveal made me want to start Chapter 2 right away. The writing is clean and fast. Short paragraphs, sharp dialogue, no wasted lines. The emotion lands without over-explaining. Strong start. I'm in for the long run.
