The maintenance method of Beno tripod expansion tubeRegarding the maintenance of the Beno tripod expansion tube, there was no specific information for the Beno brand. However, for the maintenance of the general tripod extension tube, you can refer to the following methods:
If sand enters the expansion pipe and needs to be cleaned, it is best to first disassemble a foot tube (to avoid confusion or subtle differences) and clean it section by section. When dismantling, it was best to remember the order and direction of the inner pads (anti-slip plate and stop ring), otherwise it might not be able to be installed back or it might get stuck. You can label the restraining rings as ABC. Pay attention to the position of the bulge at the end of the C ring. When installing, the gap should be aligned with the bulge in the foot tube. Then, it was best to wash it with industrial alcohol because it dried quickly. If there was no such thing, the threads and spiral lock sleeves of each pipe should be washed with a faucet to wash the sand hidden inside. The pipe generally did not need to be washed. If you don't have a special cleaning pen, use a non-woven fabric, sponge, soft toothbrush or brush with a neutral cleaner to remove the sand stuck to the oil. After cleaning, wipe it dry (if you use a cloth to scrub, use a non-woven fabric). Finally, apply a little waterproof grease on the thread. If you think the waterproof grease for the foot tube is too expensive, you can use medical Vaseline, but don't touch the plastic part. It will corrode over time. Please be careful not to use any grease, as it will flow and corrode other parts. After cleaning, he had to ensure that all the components were completely dry before installing them back. At the same time, you can apply some powdered graphene on the foot tube and the outer part of the pad to maintain smoothness. Pay attention to the direction and position of the inner pad and the two anti-slip sheets to be aligned, and pay attention to the order of the stop ring and the gap to be aligned. Then tighten the various components that should be fastened.
When taking it out, it should be wrapped up to avoid being squeezed or bumped by other things. In line with the principle of "first thick, then thin"(generally, try to use a thick leg first, then use a thin leg), stretch the leg tube, but if it is placed in shallow water, pull out the thinnest section first to prevent the twisting joint from entering the sand. After using it, don't fold it, wash it clean, and then take it back. If it was stored for a long time, it needed to be cleaned and then greased, and then all the locking structures were loosened for storage.
