web of amnesia

The amnesia in the novel is likely important for character development. Maybe the protagonist has to re - learn who they are without their memories. It can also be a way to introduce different story elements gradually. As the character starts to remember bits and pieces, new conflicts and relationships are revealed.

In novels, amnesia often appeared as a plot setting. There were several common ways to lose one's memory: 1. As a means to promote the development of love, for example, the male and female leads were originally enemies or had a special agreement. After one party lost their memories, the relationship between the two parties had different directions during the period of amnesia. For example, in some ancient novels, the male and female protagonists faked a marriage. After the female protagonist lost her memory, the male protagonist took the opportunity to pursue the female protagonist who had lost her memory, which led to a new development in their relationship. 2. It became a factor that caused conflicts. For example, the female lead lost her memory after seeing the male lead and the second female lead do something that seemed ambiguous (the male lead thought it was normal, but outsiders thought it was inappropriate). During her amnesia, her relationship with the male lead became complicated and contradictory. 3. After the amnesia, the relationship between the male and female leads reversed. For example, the male protagonist originally did not like the female protagonist. After the female protagonist lost her memory, the male protagonist developed love for the female protagonist after she lost her memory, which led to a series of emotional entanglements. 4. Memory loss could also be combined with other plot elements, such as car accidents, terminal illnesses, business collapses, etc., which would make the protagonist face a difficult choice. For example, in some modern romance novels, after the male or female protagonist lost their memories, they were faced with the dilemma of choosing between love or career (the company needed to be saved when it went bankrupt). 5. As a plot reversal, the female lead might forget her previous dislike or love for the male lead after losing her memory, causing an unexpected turn in the story development and changing the original relationship between the characters. Read more exciting novels for free
