Book Review: The Nine Banners I honestly didn't expect The Nine Banners to pull me in this quickly. The story starts with what seems like a political gathering between nine powerful houses, but it quickly turns into something much bigger. The mystery surrounding House Vael is easily my favorite part so far. The idea that an entire bloodline was erased from history, only for Aldric to discover that he is connected to it, gives the story a strong central mystery. Aldric is also an interesting protagonist. He starts off as the second son of House Fenwick, someone who doesn't seem to have much importance compared to his older brother. Then everything changes when he discovers that his family has been hiding something from him. The political side is another strong point. The Nine Houses don't fully trust each other, and you get the feeling that every conversation has a second meaning. With the king dying, Lord Greyhaven murdered, and House Fenwick suddenly becoming a target, the tension keeps building. The cliffhangers are probably what would keep me reading. Every chapter answers one question and creates three more. By the end of Chapter 3, I was already wondering who Aldric's mother really is, why House Vael was erased, and what exactly is beneath the palace. The story still has plenty of mysteries to explain, and some characters need more development, but the foundation is strong. If you're into political fantasy, ancient bloodlines, family secrets, rival kingdoms, betrayals, and characters discovering that their entire history is a lie, The Nine Banners is worth keeping an eye on. Rating so far: 8/10. I'm definitely reading Chapter 4.

The simplest way to restore the nine chains

There were two simple ways to restore the nine linked chains. The first method was to solve the problem step by step. First, the nine linked chains were divided into two parts from the middle, and then the puzzle was pieced together from left to right and from top to bottom to form a path. The second method was to re-connect the two sides first, then re-connect the path with the least steps.
