We are drawn to short stories as the well-told story, and as William Boyd, the award-winning British author and short story writer has said: "[short stories] seem to answer something very deep in our nature as if, for the duration of its telling, something special has been created, some essence of our experience extrapolated, some temporary sense has been made of our common, turbulent journey towards the grave and oblivion".[2] In terms of length, word count is typically anywhere from 1,000 to 4,000 for short stories, however some have 20,000 words and are still classed as short stories. Stories of fewer than 1,000 words are sometimes referred to as "short short stories", or "flash fiction".[3]

Most stories from this author is great like really great... but...Charlottes has a bad history of leaving many of their stories unfinished, here's hoping that doesnt happen to this one.

In this novel there will be short stories about merchants, they are connected with the Silk Road. There are some of the modern stories ... of the 20th century ... some are related to the "Big Game". Well, trade was inevitably associated with the "Big Road" as the younger brother KIM from the novel of the same name spoke. Of course, for these stories, there must be good English to understand the subtleties, but there is something that is, namely, not very good English. This is an understatement. Simple English. The author hopes in time to correct his English grammar. There are in my opinion a couple of interesting stories. And in general, the history of the Silk Road, deserves, I repeat, a good novel, in excellent English, because this is an amazing topic!

The story has potential but it's too fast paced. It shows a house's history from north. The character are well written but have really short or barely any screen time. Though some unique characters have good background stories. Now overall the story is not up to the mark. No offense but it's not good in the story development sort of way. Its like an Interlude more than a story. It can be made better. Like instead of writing it in a narrating style, it can be written like a journal or something. Or instead of writing it like a history narrative it can be shown from a single protagonist's prespective. If author decides to rewrite it ever again I think he should double or triple the chapters quantity to more thoroughly explain the whole picture surrounding the main character or characters. Anyways was a good short time story. Hope it was helpful.
