I Only Want to Lie Flat But Am Forced to Cultivate Immortality
Xu Qing woke up to find himself turned into a Zombie.
Zombies do not die; their life is endless, yet they suffer from the lack of a method to evolve and ascend!
Facing a chaotic era where ceremonies and music collapse, and demons and strange creatures emerge endlessly, Xu Qing chooses to remain under the radar and becomes the most inconspicuous Corpse Driver in the shadowy profession of corpse craftsman, earning various rewards by performing rites for the dead each day.
Be it folk arts, innumerable professions, or the nation's destiny and heaven's will, gods, ghosts, and the extraordinary, Xu Qing hides within a shop, mastering them all.
Watching clouds rise and fall, witnessing the dynasties change and old acquaintances fade; with eyes opening and closing, witnessing the vicissitudes of life, thousands upon thousands of years, my form remains unchanged, eventually becoming an eternal name among the immortals!

Don't like chapter 7, an some of chapter 6. First 50,000 soldiers will have alot of iron on them an most of them are dead. Second tax... the people would had have never spoken up or berate the king( at least not in public) or would have gotten punished in some form. Also the tax in that kind of time is different than the tax your mentioning. The difference is your talking about money, while in that kind of setting it would be items like for framers a large portion of there product would be tax. Same with all other professions. It really brought me out of the book because you mentioned tax. At least if your gonna bring in tax do it right. Still like the book though.
