Only brave adventurers could find them. The little squirrel decided to continue his adventure in search of more treasures and mysterious creatures.

A man went to the dentist. The dentist said, 'You need a filling.' The man replied, 'No, I don't like fillings. I only like ice cream.' The dentist was so amused that he almost dropped his drill. Then the man added, 'Can you put ice cream in my tooth instead?'.

Well, a lot of short paragraph horror stories have an element of suddenness. They might start calmly and then suddenly something terrifying happens, like a hand reaching out from under the bed. Another common thing is the use of the familiar turned strange. Take a normal household item, say a doll. In a horror story, it could start doing creepy things like laughing on its own. And the idea of being trapped, whether it's in a locked room or in a situation where escape seems impossible, is also frequently used in these stories.

A story could be that two friends, Tom and Jerry (not the cartoon ones), were on a hiking trip. Tom sprained his ankle. Jerry didn't leave his side. He carried Tom on his back part of the way and found help. Their friendship grew even stronger from that experience.

First, there's the character. It can be a single person, an animal or a group. For instance, in a story of a group of birds migrating, the birds are the characters. The setting is the sky, the forests they pass over etc. The plot is their journey, the challenges they face like bad weather or predators. The theme might be about survival and the instinct to find a better place. Also, the tone can be an element, it could be a serious or a light - hearted tone depending on how the story is told.
