Synopsis
In an unfortunate twist of fate, Adrian, a man from the 21st century, is accidentally killed by the Goddess of Fate. As recompense for her mistake, she grants Adrian a second chance at life in an alternate world. Upon awakening, Adrian is startled to find himself surrounded by a setting reminiscent of eighteenth-century Europe. It quickly becomes apparent to him that he has been reincarnated as none other than Napoleon Bonaparte, the indomitable figure who once ruled over Europe for two tumultuous decades. Disclaimer: This work of fiction explores a speculative narrative in which the protagonist is reborn as Napoleon Bonaparte and embarks on a journey to power, encountering both historical and fictional characters. While the story draws inspiration from the life and historical context of Napoleon Bonaparte, it is important to note that the events, interactions, and outcomes portrayed in this work are entirely fictional and should not be interpreted as a reflection of real historical events.

The story is quite interesting, and I really like the duality between Joan of Arc and Napoléon, Joan who is very valiant but lacks of any political sense and wants to fight while preserving the code of chivalry, and Napoleon, who is talented in terms of war strategy and politics but seems very cynical and disrespectful of the chivalric spirit. I find that the two counterbalance each other well and mutually prevent each other from exacerbating their respective flaws, especially when Joan tells Napoleon not to go too fast and to go to Reims before going to Paris. And Napoleon makes Joan understand that war is not just a matter of honor and chivalry and that victory must be achieved even if the methods are orthodox and contrary to some medieval principles. But as for the development of the story... im afraid that the story will remain too close to the historical timeline, knowing that Napoleon returned to Reims at the exact same time. Or that on Patreon it's stated that the real Napoleon (of 1804) wasn't the first to crown himself and that Charles VII had already done so (a rather cool passage that shows Napoleon still has a big ego ^^). This could indicate that the events in this story won't change the future of France at all, which would be very disappointing. Will Napoleon end the war much sooner? Joan d'arc will survive ? Will he succeed in his goal of forming a permanent royal army? Will he go back to war to establish the natural borders and perhaps even take Corsica? In any case I can't wait to see what happens next.

I recommend Ancestor Simulation, by General Zhao. This novel was super interesting. It was an oriental fantasy. The male protagonist, Zhong Cheng, was 25 years old. He was originally a member of a game company. After transmigrating, he worked hard for half his life. After his death, he became an ancestor on the memorial tablet. Only then did he get a golden finger. For example,"10000 points of energy can be used to randomly breed excellent clansmen in the family x10" and other cool settings. There were also female leads like Peng Qianqian and Sun Tianzi. This book seemed to be riding on the popularity of the game "Ancestors Bless", but the setting was very novel. After death, the system would allow the family to grow. Although some people felt that it was a slow start, the more they watched, the more interesting it became. His writing style was not bad, his logic was reasonable, and his imagination was very big. He had created the ancestral system. However, it had its shortcomings, such as the slow update speed. Overall, it was a good novel from the ancestor genre. It was a four-star recommendation and worth reading. Read more exciting novels for free
