I had to drop it after the author went in a direction that's becoming more common of the west are all barbarians, especially America, wanting to rule the world while the Chinese are far superior and united etc. Apart from that story is slow to develop. Save yourself some time and irritation by passing on this novel.

there is some world background in the story line but its hard to tell where we are in the world. east coast/ west coast. somewhere near the ocean or a large body of water. most likely in america. i wish i had a few more details to orient myself to the story line

Story has alot of flaws, main one for me is constant use of northern side of midland continent He is in lower side of china how the **** is his north defended when he conquers to the west
