She also rejected the application for the reorganization of the Gryffindor Quidditch team. In the Harry Potter film adaptation, the character was played by British actress Imelda Staunton, who was described as having a toad face and a penchant for pink cardigans.(In the movie, it was a pink woolen dress), so she was privately called "Pink Toad" by her students who hated her. J.K. Rowling once revealed that this image was based on a teacher she did not like in real life, and Umbridge was one of her least favorite characters.
