Hi there, I just came across *The Epic of Solomon IV: The Rust-Bound King*, and Solomon's story immediately caught my attention. I love the contrast between this rough, western-style desert outpost and Solomon himself, a seemingly drunken scavenger with brilliant pink eyes and a scarred past who turns out to be far more clever and capable than everyone around him realizes. The moment he casually uses a tiny throwing knife to blind the thugs before disappearing into the night was such a fun introduction to his character. The atmosphere of the wasteland and Sector 4 gives the story a lot of visual potential. I'd love to create a character illustration or cinematic scene of Solomon standing beneath the desert night with his worn duster and scavenger gear, his glowing pink eyes cutting through the darkness, or the moment he enters the ancient mechanical ruins surrounded by enormous rusted gears, glowing moss, and deadly defense drones. There's also a great visual contrast in Solomon discovering the ancient fountain and realizing that his knowledge of the forgotten technology may be the one thing that gives him an advantage over the wealthy scavenger crews. I do manga style commission art, and stories with gritty wastelands, steampunk technology, clever underdog protagonists, and mysterious ancient ruins are exactly the kind of stories I love bringing to life through illustration.
