Really great premise and it's nice to see France get it's limelight. Rome and Germany tend to get most of the historical alternate histories. My only real feedback is that the stories kind of unfolds like this happened and then this happened and then this happened which is cool and all but more interesting writing unfolds like, this happened which is why this happened, therefore something else happened.
