Darius Cole was a regular man from a world where Marvel was fiction — movies, comics, debates, theories, and stories about heroes who always seemed to suffer before they could rise.
Then he dies.
When he opens his eyes again, he is no longer Darius Cole. He is Marcus Elias Webb, a seventeen-year-old heir to Webb Tech Solutions, a powerful technology company built on clean energy, emergency response, medical systems, drones, communications, and security infrastructure. The year is 1998, and the world around him is familiar in the worst possible way.
Stark Industries is still selling weapons.
S.H.I.E.L.D. exists.
Captain America is still lost to history.
And the future heroes Darius once admired are years away from becoming legends.
There is no system. No status screen. No cosmic guide. No magical shop handing him powers. All he has is future knowledge, a company he is too young to control, a body that is not ready for war, and the terrifying realization that every tragedy he remembers is now real.

Darius cannot stop any of it as he is.
So he becomes someone who can.
For ten years, Marcus trains. He fights to secure Webb Tech from corporate vultures, studies combat, engineering, medicine, espionage, law, and strategy. He finds the New York Sanctum and learns the mystic arts under the Ancient One. He builds drones, armor, safehouses, secret labs, and an evolving AI companion named A.R.C.H.I.E., or Archie — a sarcastic, brilliant voice in the dark who knows Marcus has impossible information but not where it truly came from.
By 2007, before Tony Stark ever becomes Iron Man, New York begins whispering about a masked figure in dark green and black armor.
A vigilante with a modulated voice.
A strategist who records his patrols.
A protector who exposes criminals, saves civilians, and leaves evidence no corrupt official can bury.
The first modern hero since Captain America.
Sentinel.
But Marcus is not here to replace the heroes.
He is here to make sure they survive long enough to become better ones.
He will save Tony Stark and Yinsen from the cave without stealing Iron Man’s destiny. He will help Bruce Banner and the Hulk become more than a curse. He will stop Loki from falling into Thanos’s hands and give the God of Mischief a stranger road to redemption. He will protect Peter Parker before grief defines him. He will stand beside the X-Men before the world turns fear into persecution. He will bring the Defenders, Avengers, Guardians, Fantastic Four, and young heroes into one living network before the universe burns.
But breaking canon is never clean.
The more Marcus changes, the more the world shifts. Hidden enemies move early. HYDRA watches from inside S.H.I.E.L.D. The Hand stirs beneath the city. Cosmic forces turn toward Earth sooner than they should. And in the background, a ruler in Latveria begins to understand that someone else is rewriting fate.
Marcus Webb is not the strongest man in the room.
He is preparation made flesh.
Batman’s discipline.
Captain America’s heart.
A regular man who looked at a universe full of gods, monsters, heroes, villains, and doomed futures and decided that “canon” was just another word for letting people suffer because no one got there in time.
He does not own heroes.
He builds roads so they can reach each other before the world burns.
And when fate comes for the Marvelverse, Sentinel will be waiting.
