To be honest, it's a good story overall, the reason I gave it 3.8 stars is because of Simba dying. I feel like it wasn't a good way for him to go and it made me feel very disappointed. It's fine when it's Xiao Yan or Fang Yuan being killed in a fanfic since they are horrible protagonists, but Simba was a likable character. Anyways, I like changes to the canonical story, but this one displeased me a lot. That being said, you should give it a try, it's by no means bad, it just took a path I dislike very much.
