What makes a 'a dark pirate sea novel' so appealing? The sense of freedom. Pirates are often seen as living outside the normal rules of society. In a dark pirate sea novel, readers can get a taste of that freedom, albeit a dangerous and often morally grey one. There's also the allure of the unknown. Uncharted islands, hidden treasures, and strange sea creatures are often part of these stories, which makes them so appealing.
Pirate Life in the Sea of ThievesThe pirate life in Sea of Thieves was a major update in June 2021 (at the beginning of the third season). A new legendary story linked to the Pirates of the Caribbean was added. At the same time, there were some changes that were reflected in the normal game, such as map expansion and new enemies.
The main interface had a pirate life mode. When in the hall, players could only ask their friends to join them. After entering this mode, players would only be born in the Wanderer Camp (you can vote for the pirate life legend). Compared to the adventure mode, there was not much difference except that you could not lead the way at the beginning (but you can set the crew to be open after entering). It might be relatively peaceful. The legendary story could be completed by a single person, but in some places, it was more convenient for two people to complete it.
During the pirate life mission, if you can accept a mission at every trading station, you can leave the tavern and find a wanderer by the beach. After completing the mission, a green door may appear near the trading station (if you don't have to die once, go to the ferry boat and resurrect). After entering through this door, the first chapter of the legendary story officially begins. After that, he would follow a specific process, including taking soul fire, lighting up various lights, obtaining the handle of the oar, crossing the broken bridge, playing the slide, and a series of other operations. He also had to pay attention to some operations that needed to be done in order to not affect the unlocking of the achievement.
Started off great. The premise of a pirate in the pokemon world was novel, with lots of new things the author could have enriched the story with. But... the novel is just bait. Only about the first 20 chapters of the book have anything to do with being a pirate. The rest is just a dark pokemon story. Which is not necessarily poorly written, but I dropped it because it lied to me. So don't expect a pirate story. If that's what you came for, which I'm sure it is, you WILL be disappointed.
