Check my profile for more work She was not the heiress, the eldest, or the youngest. She just existed in the family, keeping her head down and letting herself wash away until she could leave. "I tried standing out, staying quiet, and even voicing my thoughts. But no matter what I do, I am never acknowledged. Does my existence even matter? After all, it's not like anyone in this family even likes me." Rika Goodwill was the shame of her family. Born the middle 'beta' child of a prominent Alpha-Omega couple, it was natural for her to be neglected compared to her perfect Alpha brother and sweet Omega sister. Her situation outside of her family was no better. People avoided her because of her mafia family and judged her nature without a second thought. Her only friends were the 'sweetheart couple of the century'. But Rika had somehow become a third wheel between their bickering and frequent breakups. Over the course of her 17-year-old life, Rika had come to accept her fate and move on. After all, no amount of complaining would ever change her situation of being a third wheel. Collage was supposed to be her big break. It was supposed to be the time Rika had for herself, where she could feel like herself, so she applied for a place where no one knew her. This was supposed to be her lucky break! Rika was supposed to get away from her worsening life. But neither her family nor her 'friends' were ready to let her go, and it did not take long for her peaceful life to turn sour. ____________ This story will have a straight pairing as well as Yuri and is an omegaverse as well. Female Alphas are Futas. If it's not your cup of tea, leave before you enter. Leave a lot of feedback for me

This was one of the more enjoyable trial reads this week. It has a number of issues, but if you like stories that revolve around cooking, I would say this is pretty solid. You can tell the author has done a lot of research into the cooking aspect of it. The cooking procedures and food descriptions are fairly detailed. The story focuses on cooking the whole way through, so this is definitely not for you if you don’t care for cooking content. I will warn, though, that this author has the MC “cure” someone’s anorexia with his cooking, which is just… no. This is the second webnovel I’ve read where the MC uses their culinary skill to cure someone’s eating disorder and it was just as disappointing as the first time. This author does much more research into anorexia than the other one, but ultimately shows that they don’t really have a good understanding of it. I have a few other critiques for this story, but the biggest ones are the baffling character setup and the nonsensical child labor laws. The MC is a young adult that transmigrated into the body of an eight-year old child whose parents left him and his three-year-old sister behind while they go abroad for an indefinite amount of time. Oh, and they expect the MC to figure out how to pay the mortgage and other living expenses himself even though child labor is illegal… or is it? The MC can’t be hired anywhere because of child labor laws, but it’s apparently okay for him to work for 10+ hours a day if he’s an entrepreneur as no one seems to find anything wrong with him opening his own food stall and restaurant. So, the setup with regard to child labor laws doesn’t really make any sense to me. I don’t know why the author made the MC so young to begin with. Fortunately, the cooking content is entertaining enough for me to ignore the age issue.

To end child labor, consumer awareness is crucial. We need to be more conscious about the products we buy. If we know that a certain brand uses child labor in its production, we can boycott it. Take the case of some chocolate companies that were found to have child labor in their cocoa farms. When consumers found out, they put pressure on the companies to change. Also, governments need to enforce strict laws against child labor. In some countries like the Netherlands, strong legislation has been very effective in reducing child labor cases.

One way, as seen from real stories, is through better education. In places where child labor has been reduced, it was often because there was more access to education. When children are in school, they are not available for work. For example, in some South Asian countries, NGOs have built schools in areas with high child labor rates. This has helped keep kids off the factory floors.

One true birth story on Labor Day could be about a mother who went into labor during a Labor Day picnic. She had to be rushed to the hospital while her family quickly packed up the picnic things. The baby was born healthy and the family always remembers that eventful Labor Day.
