Great book, one of the best dystopian novels I've ever read. Needs a little work on some grammar but that is the only area that could be improved.

Its pretty good, kinda reminds me of some xianxia novels where the mc has to hide their power. The MC is pretty cool, really reads like a lower-class guy fighting to advance in a dystopian fantasy world.

The author has a penchant for writing YA heroes in a dystopian world and this book based on the initial few chaps seems to be as brilliant as his debut novel. Some people may not like info-dumps but I like to get a good look at the world and the background where the story is set in to get a feel of the book. The initial chapters help set the story in action. Shane’s transition from a conflicted youngster to the main character with a mission makes it a worthwhile read. I generally do not read system novels but I would gladly make an exception for this one.
