June 4th 2026 - Welcome, fellow readers! Here is an epic cosmic novel; a fun, light read :) 70% serious martial arts sci-fi, 30% entertaining parody of webnovel tropes and clichés. Even if you haven't read the manhua or the first story arcs, you can start with chapter #530, it's ok. A new adventure begins, in a new place, with mostly new characters. I started translating/adapting this webnovel because the existing online English versions were terrible [raw MTL with missing chapters in the Battlefield arc] and the manhua adaptation had gone from artsy and entertaining to mediocre and silly, though it improved a bit in may 2026 and translation teams are doing a very nice job, thanks Asura & all. Anyway, the original Chinese webnovel is quite good all the way. And it seems to have reached its final episode, chapter #672, after a long hiatus, on March 29th 2026! I'm looking for raws of the 24 last chapters, #649-#672. This is a personal translation/adaptation work that I uploaded on webnovel.com only. This is not yet another "raw MTL" version (raw MTL means unedited, automatic, hard-to-read Machine TransLation). You can find other English versions online, but beware, last timie I checked they were mostly if not all raw MTL translations. There is another English version posted by Transcedence on this site, webnovel.com, it is a hard to read raw MTL version but it is almost complete (though 11 chapters were missing in the middle of the Battlefield arc)

I like the apocalypse story, feel meh to the cultivation story, and actively dislike (maybe even hate) the “ancient battlefield” story. The pets are edging on cute, but cutting out the ancient battlefield (aside from memory reveals) is worth it. Not sure why the gate to ancient battlefield bothers me, but I really really really don’t like it. Maybe it’s too much destiny rather than a family preparing for the end of humanity. Maybe it’s the writing tone. I guess the author has a plan that needs the ancient battlefield, but I hate tying it to the present. I absolutely love the idea of a crafted spiritual space for a clan’s descendants! Strongly dislike the idea of a gate to the shared space of the ancient battlefield. The presence of the ancient battlefield as anything but a historical story immediately makes me want to drop the series. Sorry I feel that way as it feels like that’s the basis of the series.
