'Damn.'

Looking at the translucent screen that hovered in front of Damon, he couldn't help but be amazed.

Sitting in the classroom full of students, his eyes stayed fixated on the hovering screen before him that only he could see.

The long list of elements showed all known elements to mankind, with the exception of the unknown demon and blood elements that would appear far in the future. Damon couldn't help but be awestruck.

'This is amazing.'

Yeah, that's the only thing Damon could think of looking at his cheat—the system he himself designed, or at least he imagined it to be.

Yeah, the system that Damon originally wished his protagonist to possess but now he does.

The screen hovering before him showed him all the important details regarding him—his name, rank (which was left blank due to his unawakened status), his innate talent, and the elements that lay dormant within him, waiting for awakening.

'Let's recall how I created the system...'

The system was a non-sentient system without any will, the quiet system that Damon preferred over oversmart systems that were mostly annoying. It just showed the basic status of Damon with nothing special and displayed the potential lying within him.

So, what's special about this system, one may ask? Well, there are two things that Damon did specifically suited for this world.

First and foremost, selective awakening. Damon designed this system to allow the host to select the elements he wants to awaken when in contact with the awakening stone during the ceremony.

In this world, there are two main classes of humans: the mages and ordinary people—the muggles, in a sense. Those who can afford to access the awakening stones—a natural treasure controlled by various organizations—via money, status, or through merit as practiced by the schools, can awaken the elements dormant within them and walk the path of a mage when they turn sixteen.

The awakening stones cost a fortune and are under strict control of the authorities. When someone places their hands on these stones, they can draw out the element dormant within them based on their abilities.

At every rank, a person can only awaken one element, with the exception of Mo Fan, the protagonist who was born with the extremely rare innate talent, Dual Awakening.

This talent allows a person to awaken multiple elements—two, to be exact—at once at every level. A really great power ability for this world, which Mo Fan used to amaze everyone.

'Since awakening is random, nobody can know which element they would awaken.'

The elements have their own strengths and weaknesses, and surely no one wants a weak element. Hence, Damon designed this ability to allow him to select the elements of his choice during his awakening.

Being able to control the element one can awaken is a great advantage, as even high-grade or element-specific awakening stones can't guarantee anything. However, this also comes with a fair share of balance by not allowing the awakening of mutated elements.

Elements sometimes mutate or fuse with other elements, gaining special characteristics that may be beneficial or disadvantageous. This ability restricts these elemental awakenings and only allows standard awakening.

But even if it's boring standard awakening the talents awakened with the system would be of the highest level.

'This is a great ability, especially for my innate talent.'

Inspired by Mo Fan's Dual Awakening, Damon gave his character a leveled-up Quadruple Awakening talent that allows him to awaken four talents at every level—twice that of Mo Fan. Otherwise, how would his character be better than the protagonist?

'Thank god, I am an OP protagonist fan.'

Unlike the majority or minority, Damon doesn't like the sound of average or non-talented protagonists. They are good sometimes, but they just get super boring as time goes by. Not to mention how annoying it sometimes feels to watch them being helpless or always being cowardly.

'There is still a few months for magic examination till after which I would be given a chance to awaken..'

As Damon thought, his gaze moved towards the second ability of the system, and possibly the best and most overpowered ability the system possessed, in Damon's opinion.

(Map)

With a simple mental command that the system listened to, another holographic screen suddenly popped up in front of Damon.

The giant blue screen showed the Map of the entire world in the tiniest detail.

Damon's lips couldn't help but turn up as he looked intently at the map, disregarding the ongoing lecture.

'My location.'

With eyes fixated on the screen, he observed the screen changing, zooming in down towards China, Bo City, and finally to the school, pinpointing the exact location.

Yeah, this was the system's ability, Map—the ability that allows one to search almost anything as long as it's within the dimensions they are residing in, whether it be forgotten treasures, unearthed mines, or the location of enemies. Everything can be located via this map.

This ability Damon finds perfect for this world for a protagonist, as an author, to possess. And why? Just think about the uses of the abilities.

Just think of the winning lottery ticket and voila, you're a millionaire within a minute. Want to print money? Just search for unearthed mines and buy the land, creating your own mining empire.

In this world, where monsters and humans worse than monsters run rampant, this map can perfectly showcase them, alerting Damon before they make an ambush.

Practicing a path as resource-intensive as a mage, Damon can locate the resources he needs to find himself. Not to mention, as a writer who wishes for an overpowered protagonist but also wants to balance it out by writing more adventure-filled chapters and not just hand over everything in the name of plot, isn't this one of the best abilities?

Closing the map, Damon returned to the home screen showcasing his status and curiously looked over the final element of the system.
