Could it be that the author Ye Fei Ye was abused/raped before by her lover. All of her novels goes with the story that the male lead raped the female lead several times before getting into a normal romantic relationship. The female lead would suffer greatly but still putting up with the abused and still loving the man who raped and demean her. While I read the reviews, I already got the gist of the story — a story disregarding women’s right, same with the two previous published here.
