Really gooood! I like the idea of the storyline. I can see that probably the inspiration was... a computer game ;) There are a few parts in your story that reminds me of the atmosphere of John Wyndams post-apocalyptic novel "Day of the Triffids". The science-fiction elements are ineteresting. Characters are expressive... All the best! Keep writing!
