This novel is not for those who want to have a shockingly strong main character, most of the time he doesn’t even use the stat increase given to him by eating all the fish. Welp, here’s how it goes. P.S This was reviewed at chapter 56 and I have no clue what the changes will be like in the future. ((THE REAL SPOILER BELOW)) Main character is poor and downloads app to relieve boredom, phone suddenly explodes but the app is transformed into a system. After mentally breaking down for a few minutes, he realizes he can transform into a fish and eat other fishes to evolve. Main character also has “Control” to use on his fish enemies and “Remold” to remold himself and other fish friends. Using these abilities, he remolds his poor normal goldfish in his shop to beautiful semi-exotic fish and sells them for a few thousand RMB. Of course, he doesn’t forget to go to the fish market and buy fishes with no combat power to eat them up. (Come here, come there, buy my fishes any day of the year!) I’d like to call this the “Money Arc” (even though it’s only few tens of chapters) as it’s mostly related to making money for his fish form and for his girlfriend. (Girlfriend was introduced very early on but played little part or had little story up until now.) Basically, main character goes and makes a bunch of money. However! This is where I leave a 3 star on Character Design. Main character sells 150 semi-exotic goldfish and 2 large ornamental fish to a big boss of a 1 billion dollar company. The weird part is that the CEO and CEO’s son act very familiar with him and this all because he sold them fish. They even said “He has talent” behind his back or connections, but wasn’t he just selling some fish? Who knows if there’s an area where those goldfish can be obtained in mass bulk? As for the ornamental fish, they’re a lot harder to obtain but that doesn’t make it so he can’t get them. (Forgot to mention big boss even wanted main character to call him Big Brother Jin. Luck? I think not!) Sorry for dumping a HUGE paragraph on you, but it should be okay because it’s gunna be all over soon. Finally, I will go into detail about why I gave the story a 3 star on World Background. (And other things, but they will only need a few sentences to explain.) (World Background) I’m giving a 3 star to World Background because the story makes it seem like main character will have a lot of ways to ruin another person who gets in his way with his human or fish form. An example would be that he used his fish form to ruin another big family’s fish farm because they kept on smashing his 70k RMB fish farm. (He had a million RMB at that time and could’ve just installed cameras and hired security guards.) What worries me is that the main character will be too reliant and focused on his system instead of a more peaceful route and cause unnecessary trouble. Translation Quality: I can’t say for sure there was no mistakes and I’m too lazy to go and see if there were. Update Stability: I would assume that in the future there will be no problems regarding this. (Just a 4 star because it might get worse.) Story Development: Not every chapter is about mercilessly slaughtering fishes but 60% of it is. (This is just from chapter 57 so don’t expect all of this to be accurate.) P.S.S Most of the juiciest parts are left out for yourself to enjoy! P.S.S.S I’m an ******* reviewer so take my reviews with a grain of salt and note I might be missing out on a few details.
