realism in 19th century novel

Great story and meangales the two Fandoms well I personally like the realism of the violence and injustices that a magical world would have if it was stuck in the 17th century, but others appear to disagree.

The story seems good so far, writing is consistent and without extra flair. World building is good, MC is adapting to his surroundings being a 20th century soldier, not familiar with this plot. It gives a feeling of realism.

The translation is too flowery. The simple dialogues sound so unnatural. It's like I'm reading an 18th or 19th century English novel. We can use simple English, can't we?
