famous 20th century british novels

It's one of the few novels that uses the 15th - 16th century timeline and the story is good, but i have a bit of a problem with how fast the story is progressing and how it feels like the MC is an edge lord with how he acts. nonetheless it's a great novel 😁

I am lazy writing reviews. I just want to say that people who enjoy classical music or the history of natural sciences will find it very interesting. The author has studied and understands in quite a good level how physics ans the other sciences were developed. He has templated legendary magicians as famous scientists (Douglas- Newton Brook- Maxwell etc). The beginning of the novel corresponds to around the middle of the 19th century. So lucien participates and in a way brings the amazing golden age of the end of the 19th century and the revolutions of the 20th century. The author also presents the industrialization and the huhe changes of every day life of the 20th century. Of course all these are accelerated due to Lucien's knowledge of our world's sciences (plot armor). Perhaps the most impressive feature of this novel is the perfect marriage of magic and sciences (the best I've seen in these kind of books). All in all the book isn't perfect, author was more mature when writing lord of the mysteries, but it's a very interesting prequel. P.S Translators have done a good job with the difficult horology.
