The author has established multiple story threads that have a predictable conclusion, but he keeps jumping around to random world building stuff. Instead of progressing he keeps adding instead of tying things up. Is this novel above a lot of the slop on this website? Yes, and that is why I find it most disappointing that I know he’s getting a discount on his meal today and not about the escaped prisoners. Now you’re thinking to yourself there’s only so much world you can build, but the author was sneaky and he made a second world giving him two worlds to build.
