Although the quality of the translation has been unsatisfactory in some chapters (especially the first chapters) overall the novel hasn't been disappointing. The refreshing of the novel's due our MC being a modern Wu/Nanwu/Xi wich is a chinese equivalent to Shaman/Wizard ir even Witch (in the case of this novel Worm Wizard), an interesting approach to other novels in magical realism taking in to Taoism and Buddhism as the MC occupation. The novel is interesting nit only for this but also because our MC doesn't stay in his homeland and he actually gain knowledge about the underworld or supernatural side of modern society... A pretty good recommendation if you cab sort out the slightly confusing redaction of some chapters and some obvious misconceptions and stereotypes of the author.
