story was going well but the mc is an absolute pushover, the kind that gets beaten to the literal brink of death and barely does anything about it, and for the record he does have the power to fight back but does nothing because he's too afraid of the clan training him, so getting beaten to the brink of death with all your bone broken is better.

Quite enjoyable if you can tolerate the character stupidity. Example Mister A has a problem with Mafa Merlin. Causing some trouble, got beaten, call their parents, their parents got beaten. Mister B come provoke Mafa Merlin, Mister is a friend said nothing their parent also said nothing. Like do they not gather info and make a list? Not only that a son wont even explain to his father about protagonist strength and said in mid I am saving you Like why not drag ur father and explain it to him?

Here is my take on this novel. I actually liked it. But there are things that I want to point out. Cons: The characters are mostly dumb. One dimensional thinking. Enemy who thinks he is god offends MC, gets beaten up by MC, calls big brother, gets beaten up, father knows about it, gets beaten up, clan knows about it, sends people after MC, gets beaten up. Moves to new place, same events. It was fun but after awhile it gets tiring. No major plot development, although there are some build up, it is just about people who get offended and doesn't know MC name, etc. Then later gets beaten up. Since this is about the Dao, sadly there is not much profound enlightenment. Names are extremely confusing. Background description is not really that good, ****** me unable to fully imagine the world. Pros: I like the fact that this is not a full on harem where MC meets women then he collects them all. It is good that MC doesn't drag things out as mostly this novel is one shot kill. But, it would certainly be more satisfying if the people who actually fully enrages the MC should die a gruesome death instead of full on one shot kills.

why did you make the mc so stupid? Like he consistently gets beat up in fights he should be able to easily win, he always uses the earth instead of using anything else with matter which is braindead, and he continusiouly procastinates getting stronger besides the bare minimum to survive th eplotwhich makes the book redunadant Like he gets stringer only to get obliterated by the oppisition. He uses his brain only half the time and none of the time in battle. you try to portray him as scheming but he continusly gets outwitted and always gets beaten up before somehow puling through. His swords ability to make him stronger in the face of death never activates. This novel just makes no sense please explain.
