This is a good novel, if a bit monotone at times. Selecting Tarth was a logical and precise goal since they are known as one of the better houses. It is just that we don't see any real conflict, just the protagonist helping Brienne with her bullies, and even there as a neutral party. Another concern of mine is if he will start helping the 'honorable' Neddard Stark, I'm just going to quit this. Starks are all in my bad list since the utter villainy that Jon committed towards his own lover. A house of the Reach would be a good political choice as a marriage, helping him solidify his position until Certs goes full Aerys.
