Hmmmm, any other story you can compare it with?

There is no doubt that this novel is slow...very slow. ...but in my opinion, there is no doubt that it is worth it, the novel has one of the best histories that I have ever read and I for one believe the pacing is adequate.

There is a time skip at chapter 200-something i think, been awhile since i read it. After the time skip the protagonist is about 15-16 years old. The pace of the story is still slow though and afaik there is still no kingdom building.

Forget just being slow, painfully slow. Its so bloody annoying and repetitive. Every single chapter, something doesn't go according to plan. And our mc becomes stunned. From one instance to another, nothing ever goes according to plan and its just one thing after another and another and another. First its unrealistic. Second, no character development and absolutely horrible writing by author or translator. Why is it every time something happens, Thales becomes stunned. Anxious. Overwhelmed. Its so repetitive. Something happens, he loses his cool. Up to 140, its happened SO MANY time. Its absolutely irritating.

Thank you for saving me time. I hate when a story acts tense and dangerous while not actually going anywhere.
