I actually liked the novel at the beginning. The main character was very smart and determined. I was rooting for him even if the story was incredibly slow. The character development shown by the protagonist made it worth it. BUT I was angry at the choice of his partner. You don't understand what this MC has gone through again and again, his continuous suffering was just too much. You would pity him so hard. In short without spoiling much the female lead is a horrible person so is her family. Rotten characters with superior complex. She is living the princess, carefree life. Yet our poor MC is working like a peasant to live his dream and be with her. I never read a character be so unworthy of the MC like this female lead. I had to drop this novel.

Chapter 540. I was that patient. His character was golden dude. The author had to ruin it with the slow pace story building and the forced romance.

540. That was when I had enough. I tried to stop at chapter 270 but I went back to see if it gets improved and couldn't go further than chapter 540. Lol good luck to those that finish the whole novel. They are the real gems for real. I wasted so many hours my dude 😭

Its really sad to hear. I loved MC, even if a lot of thing was forced, he was cute and hard working. Its shame that yet another good story dead.

this is my first time doing this but i'll still say, you need to stick with the likes of tdg, atg etc. this novel offer so much. the characters have so much depth that you dont find in other novels. they grow to be 1000s years old and still act like petty teenagers. i can go on but lets stop here. coming to what you were saying about the female lead. i have to say WTF? she has no reason to support the mc but she still goes out of her way to keep the mc's honour. again and again. she rejects the guy who liked her from the very beginning. one of the main reasons she didn't go with it was because she felt like it would betray the mc. now realistically speaking, what reason does she have to do that? just because her grandfather made a vow, she has to become someone else's bride? on top of that, the other person was practically a beggar of sorts. but time and time again she had tried to support him. and it needs to be said again, she was a princess. plus, what do you mean she lived a carefree life. Although it should be obvious how much pressure that in itself is, its directly mentioned again and again how much burden and responsibilities she carries on her shoulders. and coming to the family, they did go overboard, but they didn't even try to just kill him off directly. thats a lot more modest than compared to other novels of this genre. would you be willing to marry your daughter to some beggar just cuz the head of the family in his senile years promised to marry her off as gratitude? not to mention your daughter is a freaking princess? coming back to the female lead, when she learns of these things she practically cut ties with her family.

thanks, you just save a lot of my time, was gonna read but I don't like beggars MC and force romance, the way I see this novel reading a lot of the reviews it's a pathetic love story, all misunderstanding and at last, all forgiven.

Thank you for your review. I read this author novel of another title, so i was wondering if this is good to read. Because i also have kind of disatisfaction with some of the female leads on the other novel (Joy of life). Judging from your opinions here, i think the author kind of having same type of personality for the FLeads.... I'll skip this.

Man you're right....I couldn't move past 107. I read to this point because I felt maybe there's something more interesting that the author got in stock, so keep pushing but when it got chp 107 I just could take it no more...

My first time I read shoujo type story i got irritated like she like a guy and they become couple but suddenly ML' s best friend and enemy will like her and i forgot her childhood friend who also like her even when she know that she won't straight out reject then do everything in subtle manner. And line of misunderstanding will follow between ML and FL and ML will get jealous and one-day see one of the guy above force a kiss on her but he don't know it's forced kiss so he will think she cheated him. These kind of story with lot of misunderstanding and a story with Pokemon HAREM **** are the one of the thing I hate in story.

This is an incredible story. The elements that form it are humble, and the archetypes that drive it forward are familiar. Yet as you read on, you watch the author take these ****** pieces, and give them a life and beauty rarely seen in any novel. The characters are interesting and layered. The world and society are well thought out, and well expressed - this isn't the tale of a shapeless protagonist slashing his way through every challenge. The MC is but part of a grander story, one significant piece among many, each striving and struggling to accomplish their own goals and motivations. There is a richness to both the character development and world building. Even as you recognize each familiar archetype, you come away *satisfied* by the fullness and depth the author fills in each element. Parts of the story are pure poetry, written with true artistry and a sublime sense of storytelling. This is one of those rare works that make you feel like you have stepped into another world, where the backdrop is more than just painted facades and the side characters are more than a handful of lines on a page. The author manages to capture that fleeting, powerful feeling - the impossible belief - that if you could somehow peek into each alleyway, sidestreet, side-story or side-character.... you would find a fully realized life, moving and acting on its own. Way of Choices captures the essence of what makes a choice interesting. Namely, that we all want things, and sometimes getting those things means giving up something else. Every character in the story wants /something/, and all of them - not just the MC - have difficult or costly choices to make. As a reader, I hope you choose to give this story a chance. I believe you will find that beneath the familiar surface, waits something that is altogether special.
