People have different reading or translations styles if you don’t like how it’s done doesn’t mean others won’t like it and besides.... ITS CHINESE and I know Chinese (just enough to read and write a eassy) have you tried leaning another language XD Chinese and English are so different even my name my last name is at the front of my first and grammar.... lets say it’s repetitive and more machine like you can say , so compared to English which is bendable with the use of many words and just a mess!

Chinese and English are different there’s a reason why you see translations repeated in similar ways is because Chinese does not have all these crazy rules in English, and the style is completely. For example in English “I went to school this morning 9 o’clock” Chinese “I morning 9 o’clock went to school” 我早上九点去学校 See the difference English and Chinese don’t go well

not that worst.. but not that good also. you can try the indirect translated raw by google, almost the same.interesting story, but i think author narrate the story based on storyboard, the changes between plot like a changes between comics@movie scene , you might need to imagine it to understand it through and thoroughly.

i think in his opinion, to get pick by qidian, the standard of translation need to be higher or so..

Honestly, the first few chapters are good enough for me not to take notice of the few minor mistakes. Man, I don’t know if the editor got sick for a few days, but after chapter 15 it becomes abysmal. It’s just insulting to read, google translate can do a better job.

He doesn't mean the translation style is bad, what he means is: The whole bloody novel is literally translated by google translation machine, or in my case, a knowledgeable monkey with a keyboard that had lost the space button. I actually agree with this. The first 10 chapters are pretty well translated. But it just gets worse and worse. So bad that a person is 2 places within a single sentence. She lay on the floor while standing beside the MC(who is btw killing ****).

Yes but writing styles can be artful or flamboyant or decisive and crisp but I also thought it lacked personality. Which is too bad because that's a great medium to keep people reading. At least, it does it for me.

sorry to say that I didn't have much trouble reading the translations. It seems that you guys haven't read enough translated LN out there. There are things you have to overlook and change in your head on the fly (as your reading it). Big deal. It is very readable. So what if it said that someone was laying down instead of standing. For real? That isn't going to effect the story at all. In fact it just makes it funny like a comedy from the translators.

I didnt think it was annoying, I think my standards for a story I like is much lower than for a mediocre story, but thats just me

I think the translation is pretty good but if you really don't like it, then why don't you try the chinese?? When you convert chinese to english, there will be difference cuz sometimes its hard to translate some chinese words to english and its harder to translate it when it is chinese phrase cuz some letters in chinese will have the same design but different meaning

That's why there is such a thing called editor. He edits the bloody sentence to make it more understandable! Just because you are defending t doesn't change the fact that it's **** if it doesn't get translated right. You want examples? Go read every other novel here in qidian. You will see the difference. Everyone know languages has all kinds of constructs but when you are translating you should arrange what you are actually translating not just change it word by word. Even MTL does better job than that. And there are even saying that these kinds of mistakes are funny cause it looks like a joke! That itself is the biggest failure you can give to a story. Where the Fuck have you seen in tv where they translate other language in mistake? If they did that then it's gonna be a war because of misunderstandings. So you people defending something wrong should just go die. If it's wrong then correct it! Not justify that it's good enough cause you just too lazy to edit it. This translator is getting paid to do the job. But if this many people are complaining he should just quit. There is also the fact in summaries that almost fooled me if I didn't read another summury. It said that he went back 10 years before the apocalypse! By it should have been he went back 10 years in time just 1 day before the apocalypse! See the difference? That's why it should be translated right.

You don't like it? But I like it! I don't look at their loopholes cuz it will destroy the premise of the story. Its my kind of coffee not yours.

I would suggest trying some of the newer chapters and seeing if their translations are better. If you find the chapters have a better or are more understandable, then I would suggest to continue reading until you get past some of the not so well translated chapters. I have read up to chapter 263 so far and have greatly enjoyed it.
