This novel does romance more justice than actually romance novels. I have to say that I never expected it, and honestly was one of the contributing factors as to why I read up until the end. The feelings portrayed between the MC and his significant other we so real and actually throughly developed and so relatable. They certainly had their ups and downs, but it was without the unnecessary drama and love rivals that usually impede couples like most romance novels on this site. On another note, while I feel that the martial arts played more of a secondary role as compared to the relationships shared by the MC and those surrounding him, it was quite entertaining. Fights were very detailed and didn’t feel all that unrealistic relative to our typical cultivation/martial arts novels where MC is traveling other realms and such. To be quite frank, this is a laid back novel that really puts ones mind at ease, but there’s still that bit of ******* that keeps one hooked.
