While this novel seems pretty okay so far, I am going to keep an open mind right now and wait to see how this plays out. While this seems to be another novel trying to ride the coattails of WMW with a MC with an AI chip, I hope it will break the mold.

There's not that many. And for the love of God, it's WMW that's copying something from several years prior to include the AI chip, the others are copying that as well, not WMW!

And it's not that they are doing so in purpose, it's that Qidian sees that more people have an interest in such a story, and so that they decide to translate that genre over others before translating ones that are different. It's not that there are only these types there. Naturally, those that are interesting and the most popular over there and here of a genre are going to be translated because more people would read them, and it's not really worth the effort to translate the others yet until this business gets profitable enough not to need to rely on these super popular ones.... Sorry for long rant, it's not exactly everything in the reason that there choosing these novels, but I hope it should clarify why certain novels are prioritized over others. And remember, just because a novel doesn't seem to have much comments, most readers are lurkers anyway, and they won't say anything about the chapters. They silently support with their views, letting the people behind the scenes know that a majority of readers think it's a good story, not because a minorities voices are louder and speak more often.

I apologize for not knowing that WMW was coping some other novel, It was just that I had not seen another Chinese novel feature this concept before, and it seems like ever since WMW there has been quite a number of translated novels like this. Might I ask where the inspiration of an ai chip came from, as I would like to help prevent such misinformation from being spread in the future.

I understand your point in view, it was my fault for lashing out at this novel (albeit more mildly than some people who rate it 1 star for no good reason, I at least gave it what I considered a fair score, a 3.4). My thought process was that someone saw that WMW is one of the most popular novels translated according to NU, and that someone at QI decided to set things in motion. I saw this as a business trying to jump on a bandwagon rather than a translator deciding to translate something that they enjoy, and I deeply apologize for that.

To be honest, the idea of the AI chip could of come from anywhere originally, maybe a subpar novel didn't implement it properly or how another author thought it could be used better and passed through other authors and evolved the concept, but the one that WMW most likely copied, as you'll see the story is remarkably similar if you read it, is even on Qidian. It's "The Wizard World," also known as the not so refined version of WMW. WMW does implement the AI chip as well as the story in general as a more refined version of this novel.

Also, I wasn't really blaming you for the score, though I would never actually write a review for at least 50 chapters as the start-up of a novel is usually a bit changeable at that point, it could swing anywhere, but merely for the fact that you didn't know the truth yet. I was merely advising, just in a somewhat sarcastic way, as I think almost everyone that reads these novels should know these facts. So, sorry if it seemed rude to you.

The Wizard World is the story that first had the reincarnated with AI chip thing. It finished 2 years before the first chapter of WMW came out. A lot of people assume that WMW is the one that came up with it because it's the first of these stories that was translated to English but that's not true. The author publicly admits that he copied TWW and he uses the pen name, "Plagiarist" as somekind of a witty insult to everyone who makes fun of him for it.

WMW still did it better they which I guess is a given since it was after TWW, don't get me wrong I love both novels but the AI chip in WMW feels like it's exactly how a highly advanced artificially intelligent chip would be with the descriptions of how it sounds to the way it processes data. I find in this novel the AI feels more like stories like Blue Pheonix etc where they have another person/soul living inside them but this one is more of a joke then anything
