I'm reading a few others with female protags and I really enjoy them too... Though a lot of them still disguise as males and that makes me a little grumpy.

I wanted to wait so it got over 100 or so but I couldn't help myself and read it im so pleased with this novel im so in love it is soo interesting protagonist is someone wbetween strong and weakling it is funny there is alot of mystery and companions keep changing feels like doctor who with a more short screen time for every other companion 😂 thank you for translating keep up the good work i shall swear i will read it till the end no matter how long 👊

I don't think people like female protags in wuxiaesq~ novels because it kind of ruins most of the set in stone plot tropes that the entire genre is based around. In any one of these regular novels, the 'arrogant young master' always wants to 'obtain' the 'beautiful girl' at first sight. Usually by any means necessary. From a guys point of view, it's a white knight moment where the MC defends the beauty. From the girls' point of view, it's seriously rapey with some NTR thrown in. Which would definitely turn a lot of people off. Of course, the author can always deign to never use that particular plot trope in his/her novel, but then you lose one of the biggest and most used tropes in the entire wuxia genre. Not many authors are up to the task of 'groundbreaking' an entire new trope just to suit a different pov. Call it lack of writing skill or just plain laziness, but it is what it is. I have yet to find a wuxia novel with a female main character. Like literally at all. I've tried to look but I can't seem to find any. If you know of some please tell me.

I don't read wuxia but if I do stumble across one, I'll remember to tell you :)
