I'm curious as to why you think Ling Xian is stupid. You make no valid points to back up your argument. You shouldn't just post a hateful review like this without explaining yourself. Xian thinks more than most of the characters in this novel, he is very strong, and yes he does get rather lucky. If you want to talk about a main character that doesn't think, is somewhat strong and very lucky then talk about Harry Potter. He is one of the most loved main characters in one of the most loved books and he fits that description perfectly.
MC is stupid for many reasons. This isn't a hate review. MC was told to accept all 9 immortal masters from the first immortal in the painting. MC agrees. When it is time to awaken the second immortal, mc then rejects her because first immortal master who he has known for a little while, is somehow like a father to him. Then we have to deal with the 3rd immortal master, he is rejected as well. All because of the MC views this first Immortal master as his father. He was already told he would have ro accept all 9 immortals as his master and he agreed. But then author just flips the script and changes it. MC is an idiot. This novel is called Painting of the 9 immortals, not Rejection of the 8 Other Immortals Obviously Immortals will pass on their legacies since MC is still the Chosen One, just B.S how author is doing on about it. Don't have the MC agree to accept all 9 masters then rejects them because of such a stupid reason. Even his first master told him it is okay. Everyone was pissed due to this joke of an MC who goes back on his word
