I've seen a lot of negative reviews lately, and most of them mention that the readers barely got past Chapter 10. This is my first fanfic/novel, so I know there's a lot of inconsistency and mistakes in the timeline, like why Marcus is there and so on. When I read some of your comments pointing out these mistakes, I did try to improve. I've done some research and made changes, even though I didn't have to, because this is free, and I originally wrote it because I was bored. But since some of you really like it, I thought, "Why not improve it?" So, I did.
Now, about my earlier mistakes: I want to rewrite them, but I haven't had the time. I still keep seeing multiple bad reviews because of it. Maybe this fanfic/novel is just that bad. If so, I might just drop it. I know it's unfair to those who like this novel and want to see it continue, but I'm tired of all the negativity. This is free, and I've been trying to improve.
I don't want to waste my time watching videos on how to improve the story and doing research just for people to keep hating on it. Like they say, "A diamond is just a chunk of coal that did exceptionally well under pressure" — but in this case, the coal crumbled under too much pressure.
I guess I crumbled.
