No, but I think putting it in the right section might help the book get exposure. People are more likely to skip over it if they are looking for fanfiction.

Honestly glad you didn’t, as it being under fanfiction means I won’t get randomly blocked by a paywall as a reader if it gets too popular.

It will get less exposure that way. It will take at least 3/4 days to vet before getting at least 1k views, then WN algorithm will prioritise contracted book's promotions/exposure over my book, obviously. So, I think fanfic is better.

I was looking for this novel because I read like 15 chapters, then it disappeared from my recently read, then it took a while to find it since it was listed as fanfiction, only for me to see it had less than half the chapters I read. I’m confused what happened.
That was my friend, he found it boring to continue but I quite liked the plot so I shared it here.
