This story has potential to be great. The world building is better than most stories on this app while leaving some questions about the true nature of the world. However, I am pretty disappointed in the free chapters of the story. There was too much exposition in places where it was inappropriate, such as right before or after battles. The size of chapters are pretty short too, which means the majority of the chapter is filled with lots of information that doesn’t really matter at the moment. The author had a chance to show us the world that awakeners enter, showing us struggle, mistakes, and ultimately triumph. Instead we get two fights with some slimes and then a couple more monsters are quickly killed of screen before he goes back home. I get that the first volume was supposed to be slow, but it felt like almost nothing important happened. We still know nothing of his skills or talent. I can’t see myself coming back to spend money on this story if it stays like this.

LIKEIt’s less about enduring and more about should I even spend money on this story. Regardless I think you have a good thing going and I wish you luck.
I thought the same thing, I stopped reading because of that, some novels have a prefix where they put several things to explain and not have to do during the novel, this one plays within the chapters which makes us not understand and practically , spends more time explaining a bunch of things than the MC developing.
then you probably should have made the first 40-50 chapters free
honestly for me it's already a pain to read until 20. and this also already skipping some things. if I need to endure and spent coin until 50 I think I better spent them elsewhere. anyway good luck...
writers with this mindset are the absolute worst. instead of trying to improve your earlier chapters, you instead tell the readers to spend money until xx chapter because it gets better even though you've done nothing to actually make your readers WANT to spend money.
Is that even true though? because why are most around 40 free chapters while this one and only a few others are only half that? Is that really webnovel deciding that, I'm sorry but i just dont buy it. Webnovel decided this would randomly have 26 free chapters? On what basis would they decide the number of free chapters on then, because it's definitely not word count per chapter, since I've seen many different stories with longer chapters than this yet with 40 free ones at the beginning
I've asked multiple authors and they all said the same thing. WN dictates when chapters become paid chapters.
Hey, just to clarify. It's the author who chooses when to go premium, not WN. They just have to authorise it once we pick a chapter. But when it comes to cost, it's WN that sets the Cost/FP cost by number of words.
hmmm I've been told differently ....but since you are an author I enjoy reading I'll believe you 😁
