First off, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Second, I don’t take my readers for fools. Maybe you’ve forgotten, but most authors start out as readers—so when I say I understand you, I truly do. However, I feel like that understanding isn’t mutual. I am genuinely doing my best to deliver a great story. Just because a chapter recaps past events doesn’t mean it’s copy-pasted content. You may have a great memory, but that’s not the case for everyone. In fact, I’ve been criticized before for inconsistency or "leaving things out," when in reality, those details had already been written—just forgotten by some readers. If you’ve read a lot of system novels, you’d know that recaps like this happen from time to time. That said, you might be right; I could have structured it better to avoid making it feel like an info dump. As for word count, if that was my main concern, I wouldn’t be looking for ways to speed up the story’s pacing. The setup for upgrading the insects was intentional, fitting the pace I had in mind. With everything happening—including taking the undead back to Aurora, which is about to light up—just how much time does Michael even have? I get where you’re coming from, but I think there’s a big misunderstanding about me. It feels like you assume every choice I make has some hidden motive, when in reality, I’m just telling the story as best as I can.

It didn't advance in rank(Rank 2). Michael only receives feedback when his undead minions advance in rank(Not Race Rank). Even if they evolve, as long as they don’t Advance, he gets nothing. However, stronger undead provide stronger feedback. Naturally, the feedback from a common-rank undead is much weaker than that of a rare-rank undead upon advancement.
