I haven't read this novel, but I hate that they try to describe soul rings as a bad thing. I mean, it's like vegans describing eating animals as murder. It's the circle of life: monsters eat humans and humans hunt monsters

There is a lore that the concept of soul rings was not in the douluo world from the start. After the war between human gods and dragon gods( which solit into silver and gold dragon kings after it ), martial souls came to the planet. At that time the gods changed the world rules to create the concept of soul rings for a human to advance to prevent any other soul beast from becoming strong as the dragon god. They created a necessity to kill soul beasts more than before.
understandable but soul beasts don't hv social structure or camaraderie between each other, even those of the same species prime example is to compare them to animals. But the situation is soul masters ki*l them indiscriminately and recklessly mostly for soul bones or just because which lead to their extinction now that is something they don't want and by they I mean gu yuena and the fierce beasts thus the conflict. In soul land 1 spirit hall did regulate it abit but that doesn't stop human greed meh, it's like in the real world as long as hunting is regulated there's no fear of extinction or endangerment
yeah but its also good in the long run isnt, cause he can gather faith energy from the beast clan if he wants to create his own god position
