The writing is mid. It's not bad in any respect, just very bland. Much of the setting and locations just get the generic descriptions.
The character is just an unknown. We don't really know all his capabilities prior to a fight, so everything feels like plot armor, because he learned everything off-screen. The reader, not knqojnv his capabilities make all the fights feel very contrived, and the more we learn, the more o.p he becomes. It starts to feel very much like a "wish fulfillment" story in disguise.
The story is a fanfic so no real grading deserved here.
With all that above said, there are problems that become readily apparent in chapter 13. Namely the continuity issue with Obito.
It is mentioned that Obito was sent on a mission to the bridge where he supposedly "dies" our Mc tried to get assigned as a swap for Obito during this, but it fails. Based on the conversations this mission had yet to conclude and the events of the mission have yet to happen.
And then suddenly a few chapters later, we have a "Madara" sighting.
AFAIK this CANNOT, be the actual Madara as he is stuck. and based on context of the scene it seems to be Obito, which contradicts the time-frame of the timeline.
Furthermore, the timeline is POST third ninja war, when Obito's mission to the bridge was DURING the war.
The more I dig into this facet, the more the story unravels.
Fix the continuity and I'll update my review. It can be fixed easily, by changing the conversation the Mc has with the fourth hokage, to instead be one with the Third, who was the acting Hokage when Obito was assigned the mission and died.
Furthermore, the fourths conversation about the kanabi Bridge mission, was done in a "jovial" tone. Completely at odds with the fact two of his students died on that mission, which by context, further supports my claim that the author is unaware the events should have already passed at this point in time.
