You know you can defend your story too. The most common issue of stories being ruined is because characters make really nonsensical decisions because authors wants them to make those decisions to continue the plot or go in the direction they want. Characters acting the way author wants them is the worst, when writing about any character you should always think from their perspective if what they are doing makes any sense, and no characters (author) justifying with moronic reasons is not any better.

You are right -_- anyways, to summarize what I said: You invested your time and effort to read - as a reader you are fully entitled to your opinion and as an author I am grateful to have a feedback from such a reader. I respect your opinion as much as I respect any other reader’s opinion and I don’t feel the need to ‘defend’ my book. So everything you said is all good as far as I’m concerned and I see no problem with you - a reader - expressing opinion about what you’ve read. I wish you find a book as enjoyable to read for you personally, as this one is enjoyable for me to write and my other readers who like reading it. Good luck and have fun. :)
