Just a shameless author observing due protocol by giving a shameless review!
When plotting the story plotline, I wanted to go for something less dramatic and more realistic, almost like a slice-of-life story. I aspire to make the characters as relatable as possible and the story as realistic as can be, but this is still fiction, so expect some unrealistic aspects, so this doesn't get too depressing (as reality often is).
The romance will take time to develop, mostly because of FL’s aroace identity; however, there'll be lots of fluff in between to not leave y'all starving.
Our FL, Elara, is as normal as they come, just like your average LA citizen. She's from a well-off family, so her life is comfortable and peaceful. The only special thing about her is probably her aroace identity, but every other thing, including how she hides her real self and trusts no one, is, unfortunately, pretty relatable to most people (including me). The story follows how she meets Terrence, her boss, who at first fits the stereotypical ‘perfect’ Image of a CEO but ends up subverting most of it as she gets closer to him.
At first, this might seem like a typical slice-of-life romance between an employee and her boss, but as the story goes, you'll be surprised how deep the tunnel really goes, so stick around, and you won't be disappointed!
Also, English might not be my first language, but I think I've improved quite enough to not ruin your reading experience with terrible writing.
Lastly, this book is currently contesting in the viral call contest so please support it as much as you can if you enjoyed it, comments, reviews, gifts, PS, golden tickets; I'll be very grateful if you do!
