I read some 4-5 WN books today and this by far was the best. The MC feels like a very relatable human being. He's a middle aged man who time-travelled to the past and he acts like one, which is rarely seen in other novels with similar elements. Most of the time, they act like kids despite having the mentality of an adult but this MC, Lucas Tanaka, is well written. The pacing is good as well. It neither hypes the MC too much like Chinese Manhuas and novels nor nerfs him. I hope this novel gets its well deserved recognition. Keep going Author. Great work 💯👏🏽

The protagonist doesn’t feel like a middle-aged man, he feels like a teen’s idea of what an old, life-weary middle-aged man is.

but it's still better than a middle aged man in a kid's body having a go with other kids and sulking. There's a Harry Potter fanfic where the middle aged SI MC transmigrates to the Wizarding World and vents out on Hermione for choosing the company of Harry and Ron over his

Richard Maddox, a once-promising football prodigy, dreamed of becoming a star. But just as his dream was within reach, it was abruptly shattered when he banged his head on the goalpost, fracturing his skull. Forced into early retirement, Richard vanished from the public eye. People thought Richard Maddox was done for. However, no one expected that during his unconscious state, his spirit detached from his body. He drifted through time, witnessing the world of football from the perspective of a ghost. It was strange, unpleasant, yet exciting. No need for tickets or travel—he could simply fly. England, Italy, Spain, Germany—the best football countries in Europe—and even the passionate South America, the energetic Africa, and the growing Asia—Richard observed the rise and fall of football giants, all from the sidelines. However, watching football from the other side was quite different from experiencing it live. He missed the cheering, singing, and chanting with the other fans. No one could hear him now. No one could watch football with him. He was... alone. Just as Richard was about to be bored to death, his soul was sucked back, and he realized that only an entire year had passed. 'Interesting,' he thought, laughing. “I could bet, invest in companies that will succeed in the future, and get rich. Bitcoin, I'm coming, baby.” but who could have guessed that Richard would dive so deep into the world of football—From owning a single share to testing the waters as a scout, trying his hand as an agent, and eventually stepping into the world of coaching, before finally diving into the realm of football club ownership. It has truly been a full spectrum of football, the highs and the lows. Join us as we welcome Richard Maddox!

The Coaching System

For ten years, Ethan Carter was cursed. No matter which club he coached, he never won a single match. The world called him “The Cursed Coach.” Fans ridiculed him. Players disrespected him. The media destroyed him. But on one fateful night, his Bundesliga team—the weakest in the league—was leading 1-0 against a footballing giant. Ninety minutes. One last chance. The biggest upset of the season. The final whistle blew. Victory. His first-ever win. The curse was broken. And then… his heart stopped. When he opened his eyes, he wasn’t in Germany anymore. He was in a run-down office with peeling wallpaper and a broken desk. His hands were thinner. His face was different. A small nameplate sat in front of him: Jake Wilson – Head Coach, Bradford FC (Fifth-Tier League) Before he could even process what had happened, a glowing screen appeared before his eyes. [Ding! The Coaching System Has Activated!] Now, armed with a system that grants real-time tactical analysis, scouting reports, player growth insights, and legendary tactics, Ethan—now Jake—has a second chance. From a forgotten, unknown club to the top of world football—can he use the system to become the greatest coach in history? He was once the most mocked coach in the world. Now, he will become unstoppable. Because this time… he refuses to lose. Disclaimer The Coaching System is a work of fiction.
