in my opinion it is good despite the few views that has. the grammar is good, the world background hasn't been explored much but for now it is fine by me. the uploads are regular and the characters feel like real people. I would like more chapters but there isn't any need to rush.

Thank you, Constantine 15, for your review. While I'm not a famous author with a lot of visibility, you can help by rating, adding to your collection, and commenting. I'm already happy to have regular readers. The story will progress, and you'll see parts of the world from different perspectives. The war isn't over yet, and there's a second story in my folders (still just drafts like the upcoming chapters).

There will be a bit of romance, but that is not the main theme of this story. As for kingdom-building, I don't think so, because usually, you have a character who starts with nothing and ends up with everything. Even though history has a few figures like this, the best example in France being certainly Napoleon Bonaparte, it is something so exceptional that I don't think I am capable of creating a convincing story to place my protagonist at the head of a kingdom. Especially since he is relatively ordinary. He is not a superhuman with extensive knowledge in military strategy, urban planning, engineering, etc. While there is something cool about this idea, implementing it without breaking the realism would honestly be too complex for me.

While agree with you not going with the kingdom building route (It’s kinda overdone in my opinion), i still think it’d be a waste if Adam the mc doesn’t end up spearheading some kind of movement in the novel, like maybe an early & less violent french revolution, transitioning france into a modern republic more smoother than in our timeline.

After Being Kidnapped by the General

Enhanced Blurb: Yuan Li, a skilled logistics officer in the modern battlefield, finds himself transported to ancient China. He awakens as the son of a minor official and is sent off by his tearful parents to the Prince Chu's Mansion, where he is to marry the ailing eldest son in a desperate attempt to bring him good fortune. On that fateful day, Chu Hechao, the second son of the Prince Chu, returns from the battlefield in a whirlwind of dust and blood, his armor still unremoved. He takes his brother's place at the wedding ceremony, exchanging vows with Yuan Li under the heavens. Yuan Li, inhaling the scent of blood and earth that clings to Chu Hechao, senses the aura of a dangerous individual. That night, Chu Hechao insists on sharing the nuptial wine with Yuan Li in his brother's stead. Yuan Li, his smile gentle, extends the cup, "General, please." His slender fingers, as pale as jade, grasp the goblet, while his long eyelashes flutter against his handsome face. Chu Hechao regards him with a sardonic smile, then downs the wine in one swift gulp. Half a month later, the eldest son of the Prince Chu succumbs to his illness, and Chu Hechao abducts Yuan Li, whisking him away to the borderlands on horseback. Yuan Li's Contributions in the Ancient Battlefield: Yuan Li's expertise shines through as he transforms the ancient battlefield: • Cultivating crops to ensure a bountiful harvest • Raising livestock to provide sustenance • Clearing roads to facilitate transportation • Establishing medical facilities to care for the wounded Yuan Li's tireless efforts transform the military camp into a thriving hub, earning him the admiration and gratitude of the soldiers, who view him as their lifeline. The Smoldering Tension Between Yuan Li and Chu Hechao: Amidst this backdrop of progress, a simmering tension brews between Yuan Li and Chu Hechao. Chu Hechao, the enigmatic and formidable general, struggles to reconcile his growing affection for Yuan Li with the circumstances that brought them together. "It was I who married you," Chu Hechao grits his teeth, suppressing his anger. "It was I who drank the nuptial wine with you. It was I who shared your wedding night." "Perhaps you should look my way," Yuan Li suggests, his voice laced with a hint of challenge. Their dynamic is a captivating blend of strength, attraction, and unresolved conflicts, adding depth and intrigue to the narrative. Overall, "After Being Abducted by the General" promises an engaging and heartwarming tale of love, self-discovery, and nation-building, with a touch of tantalizing tension.
