Review for 115 chapters: MC is now a proper late stage cultivator(Qi 7). He has also killed a grade 2 snake demon (roughly equal to Foundation Establishment lvl) back when he was at Qi 6. Although his grade 2 sword helped, and the terrain restricted the demon, it’s still quite the accomplishment. At least now he is more or less unbeatable within the Qi Cultivation stage. Also, he has moved to the main cultivation city under the sect (quite literally under it, it is at the foot of the mountain where the sect is at the peak, hidden in the clouds). He has settled down with his friends and subordinates. Costs are higher and the selling price of talismans is much lower. However, has acquired the skill for making the Amulet Talisman (Qi 7, basic talismans book). That has a better sale price, although still not quite as ridiculous as back in the village. Positives : The city is a Grade 1 cultivation land, perfect for Qi Cultivation. Also the large population means that there’s no beasts around. Also, he can fly under the radar even more since there’s like over 100,000 people there. Also there’s a bunch of books/techniques regarding the cultivation world that can be bought easily.

Is there any romance/love interests/harem starting to show?
There is romance, but it’s more like coexistence with a woman he knew. They’ve been living together since chapter 35. Only recently did he start to consider her his “wife”. No official marriage though. Only one woman, and she’s not exactly a female lead…everything about her is mostly shown through MC’s experience, with a couple of exceptions. She hasn’t exactly grown in strength/knowledge either. I don’t know if she’ll be able to accompany MC long enough to be the female lead since she is still at Qi 5. She also has the same concerns.
I thought we are getting a ruthless mc suitable for the such a dark cultivation world...yet I'm disappointed to hear he is having a burden to take care of....so I better drop this story
Nah, he is pretty ruthless at the start, but later on he kind of realized that he can’t survive all by himself. His system isn’t overpowered, it doesn’t even give him anything other than his accurate status and skill proficiency. So he needs to obtain skills & resources. Also, he is basically a shut-in that never had a girlfriend in his previous life. So while there’s definitely some burdens, it is kind of balanced out by his combat capabilities. Even though they are technically burdens, every Foundation Establishment has “3 wives & 4 concubines” so nobody at his level would actually consider them important enough to target. You also have to understand that his first girl (Zhou Hong) was actually stronger than him before the village was attacked. Also, she saved his life back then. MC still has some of the thought processes of a modern era young guy. So he’s quite grateful to her.
