The problem with stories like these and massive harems is it literally takes up half if not more then half of the actual plot for no reason. Kinda why harem sucks because it’s only for people who want to read smut will alittle plot

LIKEthe harem genre is for slice of life fans, not shounen fans. it's for people who like watching the daily interactions and developments of characters and relationships, not for people who like watching the same fight between 2 people last 20 episodes. if you actually look at fight scenes from anime or manga and compare them to the actual story development happening, you will see around an 8 to 2 relationship in favor of the fights. yes, I'm being generous, but most of the time, it would be generous to the development of the story and not the fights. sometimes it can go fifty-fifty, but that's rare. yes, fights can develop the story, but it's usually not done well or that it develops them by enough to warrant the amount of time spent on it. the reason Shounen anime and manga is popular isn't really due to the story most of the time anyways..... it's due to how cool something is.
