Nevarus2hReplied to Astorm50 is the original. 250 is the result the author shows. bonus means that it increases by that amount, which means adding that much. not multiplying...... 50 times 500% or 5, depending on how you look at it, would equal 250. this is not the equation used when the words bonus or increased are used. simply use %/100 = is/of 50 = of % = 100 (the % that is relative to 50) + bonus (which is 500) = 600 is = x solve for x. that is the way to solve this correctly. or you can simply multiply 50 by the bonus plus 100% to make your life easier.

iirc the mc's dad from soul land 2 has multiple lovers, but I think this is more of a problem of author bias bleeding into world creation. it's rampant and needs to be put to the gallows.

that's correct at first, but what if that inspired someone to make better systems that wouldn't fail? having 5 or 6 of the same systems to act as catches when one fails is lazy, and yes, it leads to stagnation. there's an expression for this..... don't fix what isn't broken.
