Not traumatized but frustrating for the lack of common sense in some cases. I mean,.I've read a lot of stories so far but man when you see a grown man do stupid stuff and act like a child, I feel like the author is insulting my intelligence by doing so.

well that's interesting , well me personally I don't hate a childish character as long as that character knows when it's time to be serious , does the character u read act childish even tho the situation is serious

Sometimes it's worse than that. I mean imagine, you have a power that can upgrade your body to a cellular level and enhance it to make it better, the brain should be included in the upgrading process to be able to have enough neuronal response capacity to receive enough information from the new body, yet none of those things is taken into account by any author and continue to make the ML more stupid than ever. That's why I'm a little bit frustrated sometimes.

i am mean that's not exactly a justifiable reason to hate on it , in reading there is something called suspension of disbelief, sometimes u shouldn't expect the mc to think like u , to u enhancing your brain may seem like common sense bc that was what came to your mind but u will be surprised they will be millions or hundr ed's of millions of ppl who won't come to that same conclusion as u , not everybody can come to that conclusion immediately . In this world u can have some of the dumbest ppl saying stuff that the smartest of ppl didn't think about , the reason why I Said this is bc i am someone u would classify as dumb ppl , some ppl have pointed out things that came across as obvious but even then i have also been able to sometimes point out stuff that seem ,as obvious , if someone does something u wouldn't do , dont immediately get angry , same way u dont expect an infant immediately learn how to walk when there legs are strong enough u can't expect someone to immediately figure out there brand new abilities if u want the mc powers to be used in a particular way , instead of getting angry , comment to the author I want the mc powers to be used in a particular way . If u want common sense to be applied to the story these are things u should be concentrating on , u should be seeing if the mc knows the difference btw his wants and needs ,those the mc try and think b4 he entered a situation, is the mc trying to plan for his future , these are things u should be looking for in a mc , u shouldn't be looking at how they use their abilities ,

No, this one was an example case, not really happened in any novel. What i want to point out here is the fact that some authors deliberately do this for the sake of plot only and that taste bad

And for the reason I'm frustrated about a stupid ML, is when it becomes a plot tool in the end to justify some plot hole, while it was a deliberate intention from some authors to do so. To be clear i do not hate stupid behavior when it is done well. What I do not like it's when it becomes an abusive tactical éléments or key element for the plot. And this kind of thing happened too often in the reincarnated novel genres, this is why I used the term grown man and common sense in the first comment.
